Season 1: The High-Performance Mask

Hi, I’m Lindsey Peterka, workaholic in recovery and founder of The Balanced Vision.

And if you’re like me when I started this journey, you’re done with reacting to yourself and to life. You know doesn’t have to be played on challenge mode anymore and you’re ready for it.

For years, I was the over -extending "High-Performer." On the outside, I was the cheerleader—fun, high-energy - organizing events and receiving fabulous feedback. Inside, it was a critical perfectionist, misaligned values of work before relations and a fear of getting caught as a mess.

My self-worth was a performance.

Season 2: Breaking Down to Pivot

I "crashed multiple times, with a cycle of overwhelm to exhaustion. A stress fueled reactive life style and workaholic tendencies lead to a divorce. 2019 and Rock Bottom #1 was my wake up call to how I show up for others. My priorities shifted to say my people come first.

Rock Bottom #2 in 2023 was the wake up call to myself. I saw a pattern of reactivity and putting others needs first (especially in my romantic relationship) at the cost of my own health, wealth, and needs. In my career I was a leader, but in my system, the loudest stressor would throw me out of balance.

The Big Pivot happened when I decided my health and needs come first. This meant first getting clarity on what my needs, beliefs, boundaries, and nervous system state. If I wanted to start responding to life, I needed to observe and identify which voices hijacked how I showed up. I applied the correct regulation approach in the moment, and I saw empathy towards myself needed to be present, always. We don’t grow out of criticism of shame.

What started in my personal life was the same patterns at work. I realized that the nervous system doesn’t differentiate between "work stress" and "life stress." It only knows it ‘s contagious and it has a limit on it’s capacity. I started using my system to ground others and make more effective conversations happen. Today, I’m thriving and I have the tools to navigate the stressor moments intentionally instead of the loudest voice in the room.

I integrate The Balanced Vision in every day of my life because I know the value of partnering with my system. It’s a balanced view with grounded presence to intentionally thrive in your health, life, and business.

Season 3: Systemizing Transformation

I know the impact on my life and I needed to share it with the world. We do more good when we respond instead of react.

My transformation was a multi year journey of studying, working with my nervous system, and rewiring the beliefs that fueled it. I picked the most effective methods to build a 6 month journey. So your transformation is months, not years like mine.

My perspective is unique and combines:

  • Nervous System Intelligence & Attachment Theory: A body-based trauma informed approach combined with subconscious rewiring

  • 10 Years in HR Tech Consulting: Implementing systems for organizations ranging from Fortune 500s to startup supporting 100+ organizations.

  • C.O.R.E. Framework™ applied to self, teams, personal relationships, project teams and wider

C.O.R.E.™ is a framework for self-leadership at scale.

Today, my mission is to provide the C.O.R.E. Capacity Framework™—a systemized approach to help you build an intentional life, anchored in your own resilient state. It’s an effective approach working with the body-mind as one system to help you thrive in your health, life, and business so you can lead your life from the inside out.
